I Am Not Right in my Head

Based on Pridi, dala ti bom cvet (Yugoslavia 1970)

I am not right in my head
At least that’s what they say, the white coats in here
I am not right in my head
They don’t use the c-word, but it’s what they think

What’s so wrong with dancing unicorns, or cotton candy dreams?
I hear bluebirds sing in unison, see rainbow colored beams
As bubbles bounce away, a colored shadow play
I feel joy

I am not right in my head
Do you have a lighter? I do like to stare at the flame…

I am not right in my head
The doctors sedate me, it’s their remedy
I am not right in my head
The drugs just enhance it, it’s pure comedy

Burst out laughing, burp out butterflies, a merry color scheme
Purple dolphins falling from the sky, an ocean of whipped cream
As swans dance a ballet, flamingos play croquet
I feel joy

I am not right in my head
But I am so happy, please tell me: can you say the same?
