If you’re a fan of the Eurovision Song Contest and you write your own songs, why not enter the Home Composed Song Contest, which takes place this autumn, in its 30th anniversary year? It is open to musicians from across Europe, from those who make music at home in their bedroom to those who are aiming for a full time career in the music industry, though the contest isn’t open to full time professionals – we encourage you to go for Eurovision itself!
The competition has a rich history – in fact we believe that it is the longest running pan-European song contest after Eurovision itself.
Musical Eurovision fans from across Europe compete with audio recordings of their own original songs, as well as forming the juries who will choose the winner, in true Eurovision style. The grand final will take place online on Saturday 23 October 2021.
A dedicated website at home-21.com will be launched in June, with full details of how to enter and all the rules, so get writing and recording your song ready for this year’s 30th competition.
The songs will be presented online between 1 August and 19 September followed by a voting period from 20 September to 10 October, so there will be plenty of opportunity to promote your song. Do consider joining the dedicated Home Composed Song Contest Facebook group where you can meet other contestants from this year as well as previous editions.
Best of luck to everyone around Europe – get writing and recording your entry for the Home Composed Song Contest – ‘Home 21’.
If you have any enquiries about this year’s contest please contact the organiser, Andy Brook at email@example.com
And meanwhile, here is the winning song from 2020 (but don’t worry, you only enter with your audio recording, there’s no need to make a video)…
In two weeks time we will know the winner of the 29th Home Composed Song Contest!
The participants have voted and together with points from the public vote and the Radio International jury we will have a new winner on 14th November. You will find the result-video on this page, so please come back then.
You can still explore all the songs using the menu bar or from this index page.
We hope you enjoy the 2020 Home Composed Song Contest!
Good luck to all the songs!
– Bo Söderholm (organizer together with the HCSC Committee)
