Bosnia and Herzegovina first participated in the Home Composed Song Contest in 2002 and was most recently represented in the 2005 edition.

All of its entries were submitted by Sascha Mutavdzic, who has the distinction of being the only participant in HCSC history to withdraw an entry only to submit exactly the same song again one year later.

Bosnia and Herzegovina won the 2002 edition of HCSC with the song "History". It took third place the same year with "Suze za kraj", following that up with a second place for "Pjesma andjela" in 2003.
