Serbia first participated in the Home Composed Song Contest in 2008 and was most recently represented in the 2015 edition.

The country won on its debut thanks to "Vino" by Boban Djekić. Boban followed that up by taking third place in the 2009 edition, a position also achieved by the duo NIDEJ in 2015.
