<poem>
Una notte d'autunno
L'aria è viva e mi invita
Mentre osservo limpide infinite stelle

È una notte senza luna
Ma luminosa
Con la bellezza della quiete
Col cielo e terra in armonia

Come stelle cadute a terra
Mentre ogni filo d'erba è in fiore

Cielo e terra in unità

<poem>
An autumn night
The air is cool and inviting
A hundred billion stars appear
From way beyond, yet crystal clear

A moonless night
The stars shine brightly
The beauty of tranquility
Sky and earth in harmony

And it's everything, to me
That a love affair with life should be
As I lie beneath the branches of an ancient tree
Sky kisses earth and earth kisses me

A woodland glade,
The air is cool and enchanting
The perfume of nocturnal flowers
Heady, in these early hours

The diamond sheen
Of dewdrops on green
Like falling stars that reach the ground
Every blade of grass is crowned

And it's everything, to me
That a love affair with life should be
As I lie beneath the branches of an ancient tree
Sky kisses earth and earth kisses me

The power of eternity
Sky and earth in unity

And it's everything, to me
That a love affair with life should be
As I lie beneath the branches of an ancient tree
Sky kisses earth: earth kisses me

And it's everything, to me
That a love affair with life should be
As I lie beneath the branches of this ancient tree
Sky kisses earth and earth kisses me
