Macht Urlaub zwischen Edelweiss, in d' Hütt', auf Bergeshöh'n

In einem kleinen Hüttendorf sein großer Tourbus hält
Er einem stolzen Krieger sofort in die Hände fällt

Herr Schmidt ist interessiert, der tapfere Krieger ihm erzählt

Du bist ein Schuhplattler und ich ein Gnu-Plattler

Herr Schmidt will nicht unhöflich sein

For many years Mr. Smith has been travelled to nice Zell am See
Spending his holidays between the edelweiss in a cottage up on the hills
This year he wants to see something else
That's why he travels to Africa, this should be a nice place too

In a little village of huts his tour-bus stops
He falls into the hands of a proud warrior
This warrior wants to sell him this nice and much too expensive skin
Mr. Smith is interested, the proud warrior tells him:

You are a Bavarian dancer and I'm an antelope hunter
The cow your leather trousers are made of is totally dead
Nobody in Germany has got a skin like this
And this way, you will feed my children too

Mr. Smith doesn't want to be impolite
But the warrior doesn't want to understand
A big skin in a small bus, there won't be enough room for it
The black man, he doesn't give up
Doesn't want to go his way
Our star-tourist explains strongly and clearly:
