In their own words:
Monica and Miles are songwriters (alongside their day jobs!) who met online two years ago through The Songwriting Academy (TSA). They started a friendship and collaboration partnership through their shared passion for the Eurovision Song Contest and musicals.
As a Norwegian jazz singer Monica is about to release her first album and Miles is a pianist based in Germany. They finally got the opportunity to perform live together earlier this year at a songwriting retreat in Andalucia in southern Spain.
The songwriting duo wrote the song “High” as an online collaboration. “High” is about overcoming doubt and fear and being supported by someone who has your back when you’re faced with a challenge.
Fellow songwriter Kristina Pedersen is a friend of the duo who is performing the song. The production, mixing and mastering were done by Miles.
