“Static On The Radio”
Performed by: Vulnerable
Music by: Ray Holt, Martin Faulkner & Andrew Donaldson
Lyrics by: Ray Holt, Martin Faulkner & Andrew Donaldson
In their own words:
Ray Holt, Martin Faulkner and Andrew Donaldson have been making music under various band names since they were at school together in Newcastle upon Tyne in the 1990s.
Ray is a product design and mechanical engineering lecturer who deals in cool-sounding stuff like robotics, Martin translates corporate reports that no one actually reads, and Andrew works in the energy industry (but don’t hold that against him).
Now living in Leeds, Peterborough and Edinburgh respectively, they make their music digitally before getting together for regular in-person recording sessions that help to keep the East Coast Main Line rail operator afloat. Despite this, a sponsorship deal has yet to materialise.
Lyrics:
Here I am
Looking for a shape that I can take on
Here I am
Waiting for the day that I’ll know my form
I dissolve
Into static on the radio
I dissolve
Into static on the radio
Going down
A river takes the shape of the land before it
Bearing down
It’s still a raging torrent sweeping all away
I dissolve
Into static on the radio
I dissolve
Into static on the radio
And I’m wrong but I’m living at the right time
And I think I’ll just forget about the bad times
And if you think that I could never take another time
You’re wrong
You’re wrong
And I’m wrong but I’m living at the right time
And I think I’ll just forget about the bad times
And if you think that I could never take another time
You’re wrong
You’re wrong
You’re wrong
I dissolve
Into static on the radio
I dissolve
Into static on the radio
Static on the radio
Static on the radio
Static on the radio
Static on the radio
