Romania debuted in the Home Composed Song Contest in the 2011 edition, where Gabriel Wilson & Lavi finished in 11th place with "Bleeding For You". It made a far more successful return a decade later, with two top five finishes in the 2021 event - including victory with "Take Me Away" by CornEL.
