After a break of many years following his first entry in 2002, Tero Aalto from Finland returned to the Home Composed Song Contest in 2011 with a string of consecutive entries from his band Snowclone.

This included victory in the competition with the song "Olen" in 2012, after which Tero organised the competition the following year.
